Engraving your bike with a personal ID can void the frame warranty if not done by the manufacturer. Cicopass is non-permanent and does not damage the frame. Unlike engraving, which lowers resale value due to permanently carved personal data, the CicoPass BikeShield can be removed or replaced without damage.

When you register your bike with Cicopass, you provide the brand and frame number. This ensures your bike can still be identified even if the BikeShield is removed. The chip acts as a visual marker, but the actual registration is linked to the frame number, similar to how a car is traceable via its chassis number

Yes, you can transfer your bike registration to another person. Log in to your Cicopass profile, select the registered bike, and choose “transfer ownership” to complete the process

Before buying a used bike, scan the Cicopass BikeShield or check the code online to view its current status. Make sure the original owner transfers the registration to you so the bike becomes officially yours

You can buy a CicoPass BikeShield online or from a dealer. At the dealer, your bicycle details are usually already known, and the BikeShield only needs to be linked to your bike.

Yes, absolutely. You can request a new sticker on the website. Simply log in to your account, select your bike, and click the “replace chip” option.

Your CicoPass BikeShield can be used when registering your bike in the Belgian national bicycle register, MyBike.

Place the BikeShield at the top of the seat tube — it blends in well without being intrusive. This way, potential thieves quickly notice that the bike is protected, and it is usually skipped more quickly during theft attempts.

CicoPass is a digital registration and marking system for bicycles and other valuable goods. It provides proof of ownership, prevents theft and fraud, and simplifies resale by registering products under an owner’s name in a central database.

A user (consumer or dealer) creates an account, enters the bicycle details (such as frame number, brand, model), and links them to a CicoPass ID. The information is verified through the DST database. Afterwards, a digital proof of ownership is created and stored.

Bike shops can quickly register bicycles through CicoPass, link accessories (such as second batteries), process ownership transfers, and add features such as the E-BikeCheck. This increases customer trust, reduces administrative work during repairs, and supports theft prevention

CicoPass uniquely registers each bicycle to an owner and links it to a verification ID. Dealers, police, and other parties can easily check whether a bike has been reported stolen. Thanks to the clear registration and CicoPass marking, stolen bikes become less attractive for thieves to resell.

With CicoPass, you can officially register your bicycle or other valuable product. You receive a digital ownership certificate proving that the product belongs to you — useful for resale, theft, or insurance

Basic functions such as registration and managing your own products are usually free or very low-cost. Additional services, such as inspections (e.g., E-BikeCheck) or business features for dealers, may have associated fees.

When you register a bicycle, a unique CicoPass ID is created. This digital ownership certificate can be shown to the police, insurers, or a buyer. All information is securely stored in your account.

You can easily mark the bike as stolen in your CicoPass account. This makes it visible to police, bike shops, and other parties. If the bike is recovered, it can be linked back to you more quickly.
